Vacations for us, by us.

We enjoy spending time travelling, seeing different parts of the world. As we have previously stayed in private gay-owned residences and enjoyed the experience very much, we thought it would be great to do the same in new cities to which we would be travelling. Fort Lauderdale and P-town, for example, are areas we know well, and it's much easier to find places in these towns where the boys meet or where the ladies hang out. But in our travels to new locales, it is seemingly impossible to know where the 'gay hood' is in relation to any home or condo we are considering renting. (and we certainly aren't going to blindly e-mail the owner of a home in Tulsa to ask where the closest gay bar was!)

So the brainstorm for this website is thus initiated; a site where gay and gay-friendly property owners can list their properties for rent. And where gay and gay-friendly travellers ( a very desirable demographic for those in the know!) can have the opportunity  to experience a destination from a comfortable new perspective. One can learn much about a new destination when you are staying in a home versus a hotel or motel.

In their listings, we encourage our property owners to feel comfortable in sharing what makes their home special to them, and what will make it special to gay travelers.....

Where is the nearest gay friendly gym?   

Where is the nearest bar where a group of women can feel comfortable hanging out?  

Where is the closest art film house? 

Where is the best local sushi? 

How far to the closest  gay dance bar?    

How far is it to the nearest organic grocery?                         

Beyond the information on the listing, one of the great things about this site is that you can feel comfortable contacting the owner to ask other questions and not worry about their response!

So go ahead and check us out......place a listing, or check out a few.....and if you need more info, don't be afraid to ask the owner if you find a property you like!
